Disciples of Christ. Walking Free Together.

To disciple men into lasting freedom from sexual sin through the transforming power of the gospel — helping them grow in a humble and obedient relationship with Jesus Christ, equip them to lead their families, serve the church, and live lives that glorify God.

What Is Freedom Road?

Freedom Road is a discipleship ministry dedicated to helping men find lasting freedom from sexual sin. We operate under the oversight of the pastors and elders of Light House Church in Roseville, Minnesota, with an approach that is distinctly gospel-centered and biblically grounded.

We believe Scripture is the ultimate authority for understanding both sin and transformation. Real change does not come from self-help strategies or behavior management — it comes from the truth of God's Word and a growing, dependent relationship with Jesus Christ. As men grow in Christ, they begin to participate in His divine nature, being renewed, transformed, and freed from the corrupt desires that once held them captive.

Freedom Road was born out of a journey that began seven years ago when one of its leaders first experienced genuine freedom from sexual sin through the gospel. Since then, they have walked alongside hundreds of men pursuing that same freedom. This is not a professional counseling service — it is a discipleship ministry led by men who have personally been through the struggle and come out the other side through Christ.

Key Beliefs

Freedom Road holds to a historically orthodox set of core Christian beliefs rooted in the historic teachings of the church. The following convictions are especially central to how we approach this ministry:

The Authority of Scripture

The Bible is the inspired, sufficient, and authoritative Word of God — providing everything necessary for life, godliness, and spiritual transformation.

The Power of the Gospel

True and lasting change flows from the gospel of Jesus Christ. Freedom is not achieved through willpower or self-effort, but through repentance, faith, and the renewing work of the Holy Spirit.

The Nature of Sin

Sexual sin is one expression of a deeper heart condition — a soul turned away from God. Addressing behavior alone is not enough; only the transforming work of Christ can change the heart.

Walking by the Spirit

Men grow in freedom as they learn daily dependence on the Holy Spirit — putting to death fleshly desires and cultivating deep, genuine affections for Christ.

Discipleship & Community

God rarely grants freedom in isolation. He works through discipleship, honest accountability, and the encouragement of fellow believers to shape men into holiness.

The Calling of Men

God calls men to lead their families, serve the church, and live lives marked by humility, purity, courage, and faithfulness — a calling made possible through freedom in Christ.

"Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh."
— Galatians 5:16

What Freedom Road Looks Like

Our gatherings are led by men who have personally walked out of the bondage of sexual sin — not professional counselors, but brothers in Christ who understand the struggle and have found real freedom through the gospel. We meet regularly to study Scripture, confess struggles honestly, and hold one another accountable as we pursue deeper obedience to Christ.

We draw on trusted, biblically-grounded curriculum from ministries that have helped thousands of men, including resources from Proven Men Ministries and Pure Life Ministries. Every aspect of our gatherings is shaped by these five commitments:

HonestA place where men can bring struggles into the light without fear
BiblicalGrounded in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture
TransformationalAimed at heart change, not surface-level behavior management
Brotherhood-DrivenMen walking faithfully with Christ alongside other men
ConfidentialA safe environment where brothers can share openly*

*While discussions are treated with confidentiality, Freedom Road leaders are mandatory reporters and must report situations involving abuse, harm, or threats of harm in accordance with applicable laws.

Is Freedom Road for You?

This ministry is not a place of shame or condemnation. It is a place of grace, honest truth-telling, repentance, and genuine transformation through Christ. You are not the only man fighting this battle — and many who have walked through these doors have found that real, lasting freedom is possible.

Freedom Road welcomes men who:

Freedom Road is unapologetically Christian and grounded in a historically orthodox reading of Scripture. At the same time, men from all backgrounds who sincerely desire freedom in Christ are welcome here.

A Note for Wives Who Have Been Hurt

Sexual sin rarely stays contained to the man who struggles with it. It often leaves deep wounds — broken trust, grief, and confusion — in the lives of wives and families. If your husband's sin or infidelity has hurt you, that pain is real and it matters deeply.

Freedom Road is specifically structured as a discipleship ministry for men, so we are not able to minister directly to spouses. However, we strongly encourage wives to seek care through Pure Life Ministries, which offers teaching, counseling resources, and support for women navigating betrayal and the long road of healing. We also encourage you to connect with pastors, biblical counselors, and trusted women within your local church.

If you're unsure where to turn, you're welcome to reach out through our contact form and we'll do our best to point you toward appropriate care. You are not alone, and there is real hope for healing.
